September 2019 Real Estate Market Update for Sarnia-Lambton


Wondering what the Sarnia real-estate
market did last month? Sean Ryan here to give you the info you need explain what
it means and how to use it. So we saw four hundred and twenty six active
listings in September and one hundred and fifty-seven sold, totalling just under
52 million in sales. Compared to last year we had 162 giving us around 48
million. With around 32 days to sell, the average sale price was around three
hundred thirty three thousand and this is an eleven and a half percent increase
compared to September 2018. Fifty-one percent of those homes sold were between
the two hundred and four hundred thousand dollar price range. Last year we
saw forty eight percent, so just a slight increase as property values have
been increasing as well. And with supply below demand there was four more homes
on the market in September this year compared to August and the number of
sales increased by six. So we’re now in the fall market which is one of the
busiest markets besides the May and June market. A lot of buyers out there looking
to get into the new homes before Christmas and especially under $400,000
price range and again we’re in a big need of investment properties rental
properties we have a lineup of good qualified tenants looking to get into
places. So if you’re looking to get into the investment property game maybe have
