Real Estate Solutions: Getting Ready to Buy a Home


Hi, it’s Steve and Susanne back with you we did a little video last week. It was well-received and we just wanted to
follow up and just kind of talk a little bit more about the opportunity and how
to go about getting the guidance and taking advantage of that opportunity so we’re
going to talk just a bit about the way to start a home search and getting
pre-qualified and kind of the order that those go in right well and in the order
that it goes in now and you probably speak to it better than i as most people
fall in love or get interested in buying a home by looking online and then they
call you because they want to go see it in person yes this stuff that they they
forget sometimes is – can i buy that home can i afford it on am i are they pre
approved or pre-qualified with a lender bank credit union whomever you choose to
use I mean of course I’d like it to be me sure and I highly recommend and what
happens is sometimes people think that they may not be able to buy a home at a
certain point in time and it’s been wonderful over the last 15 years to find
people who were more ready to purchase than what they thought and have walked
out of an appointment with a pre-qualification sometimes that
sometimes it takes a little time or it might take some work to get someone to a
point where the price point that they want to do we’ve had clients that we’ve
worked with for months I mean up to a year to where they come in they have
that initial conversation we get an actual hard pull of their credit review
their income review their assets and if they’re not ready now we set them on
that path for success to get that home to buy that home offer them that
guidance to get them to the end it’s like a road map and you need to be
guided on it and we would love to help you do that
so we get phone calls where people say I’ve just found a house of my dreams I
want to go see it and I’ll maybe go show and or some of the other agents in our
office and it turns out we’re not pre-qualified and so we fall in love
with the house and then the hard part is that we can’t offer on it because even
per the Arizona contract you have to have a standardized pre-qualification
so we’re kind of not get the cart before the horse and make sure that we do it
well so that we can capitalize on interest and the opportunity that we have and I think the biggest thing that we’re talking about is let’s get pre-approved yes talk to a
lender talk to a qualified real estate agent professional and that’s what we do
