Apartment Vs Hotel | Benefits of Airbnb | Hotel or Apartment – What is better?

Hi everybody, my name is Vrinda, you can call
me Kuhu and I am 9 years old. While on the trip, accommodation is a really
important factor. There are many questions around it, like – how
much would it cost? What could be the right location? Would I get all facilities? And many more. Also, another question that we face is whether
to stay in a Hotel or an Apartment. Your choice of stay, that is Hotel Versus an
Apartment plays a big role in the overall experience of the place you are visiting. Over the years, my family has tried both types
of stays and today I am going to share with you a broad comparison of staying in an Apartment
Versus staying in a Hotel. We’ll talk about the Pros and cons of both
kinds of stays. If you are liking the video, do give a thumbs
up and subscribe to Vrindas Adventures channel for more such videos. So let’s start with some Pros of staying in
an Apartment over a Hotel – The first benefit is about the cost of stay. Usually, you can have an Apartment at a central
location at better pricing than a Hotel. Hotels are much more costly in central locations
as compared to apartments. If you want to stay at a prime location, you
should definitely consider apartments. This would make a big difference when you
are a group of friends or a family with kids. Instead of taking multiple rooms in a Hotel,
you can go for an apartment that can accommodate all of you. Usually, cost of taking a bigger apartment
would not be as high as taking multiple rooms in a Hotel. The second one is about space. You get more space to move around in an apartment
as compared to a hotel, especially when you are a family of 3 or more people. Hotels can provide an extra bed in your room,
but that will eat up all the space. Apartments usually have a bedroom and a living
area with a sofa cum bed or sometimes multiple rooms for bigger groups. The third and our favorite one is that your
host can share lots of local tips with you. Since hosts live there, they usually have
relevant suggestions like what are must-try restaurants, how to move around, the best
time to visit certain places, better money exchanges, etc. They can also help in your itinerary if you
nicely ask for help. We have been very lucky and got nice hosts
who were quite considerate to help us and clarify our doubts. This made our stay and overall experience
extra special. The fourth benefit is the availability of
Kitchenette in apartments. Kitchenette usually has basic stuff like microwave,
refrigerator, utensils etc. You can manage some basic food needs like
breakfast, make tea or coffee as you like or use packaged food items from the supermarket. This gives you a lot of flexibility in your
plans in case you are starting your day early or are coming back from a day trip late in
the night. In case you’d like to save some money, eating
at home is a good option too. Also, with small kids, it’s usually easier
to eat at home than in a restaurant. The last one is access to a washing machine. This helps in traveling light. You can wash your clothes every 2-3 days. This way, you avoid handling your dirty clothes
as well. This tip is also a part of my Packing tips
video, you can check the link-up here or in the description below OK. So many benefits of apartments right? But there are some points where Hotels are
better than apartments. So let’s check out some of the Cons of staying
in an Apartment as compared to Hotel: The first one is that Hotels have MAKE MY
ROOM SERVICE, but apartments don’t. Yes! You need to clean & maintain the apartment
yourself. You’ve got to make your own bed, If you
are using the kitchenette, you need to clean the dishes. So basically, treat the place just like your
home! The second one is that Hotels have Restaurant
and Room service, but these services are not available in an apartment. So, in a hotel, you can get meals and snacks
whenever you need. But, in an Apartment, you have to manage food
on your own. Needless to say, there is No complimentary
or paid breakfast provided in apartments either. This becomes a challenge when sometimes you
need to start early and could not arrange something the night before. The third one is that the Hotels have a front
desk but apartments don’t. Due to this, Check-ins needs to be pre-informed
and planned with the apartment host. Usually, since there are no receptions at
apartments, you need to coordinate with the host for everything e.g. if you are getting
late for check-in, you need to inform the host as he/she might be waiting for you at
the apartment. There is no such hassle in Hotels as most
of the time, you can find someone at the front desk. So let’s conclude! I would suggest you should stay in a hotel
if you are planning a short stay for 1 or 2 nights. Hotels offer many services that save a lot
of time. It may cost a little more, but in less time,
it is difficult to manage things on your own. Also, If you have very packed days and don’t
like to plan ahead, you should go for Hotels instead of apartments. Hotels can also make more sense if you are
just 2 people and need a room to spend the night. On the other hand, an Apartment should be
your go-to choice if your stay is slightly relaxed like 3 or more nights. Apartments make you feel at home and you will
be able to get better local feel of the place by managing things yourself. If you are a family or a group of friends,
you get more space and have to pay less. We personally prefer staying in apartments
than hotels as location and a local feel is really important for us. So, what’s your preferred choice? Let me know in comments below. Hope you like this video. Like, comment, share & most important Subscribe
